This is García-López first match on the summer hard court season. He comes from the Kitzbuhel clay, where he lost to Zopp (6-1, 6-3) in a woeful match on his side. Mayer has played a pretty good tennis in Atlanta. He lost in the 2nd round to Ram, but he played at a very high level. Ram was really inspired on his serve and Mayer lost because he failed in the decisive points.
